Abstract

Cluster Pro Plus is an interactive web-based application built upon the Skynet Plotting Tools infrastructure to facilitate learning of concepts in stellar evolution by analysing star clusters. With the ability to remove field stars and fit isochrones to photometric data displayed interactively on an HR diagram, introductory astronomy students can use this tool to estimate any star cluster’s age, metallicity, distance, reddening, and number of stars, and compare their results to published values.
